Another nephew
To put it in Erika's words, "It's been a bumpy day." She is in a lot of pain and very weak. Now to the good news: Erika is alive and four times as smart as me even with brain problems. Okay five times.
Today at 4:00 central marked the one week point.
After a couple of test today we were briefly told at the end of the day that they might have spotted a “small” aneurism. Is that good news or bad??? My only thought is that if they can’t find a problem they can’t fix it. I hope to find out more in the morning rounds. At this point they plan for another angiogram on Friday. Then??????
I asked Erika how you all could pray for her. She said the following: 1) For the awful pain to go away 2) For her arms. They have stuck her so many times and have blown a vein or two. The medicine burns every time they inject her which is about every hour and a half. 3) She is struggling some with the why and just asked that you pray that God will be glorified through all of this.
Tim’s list: 1) Mental and physical strength to be strong for her. 2) That I don’t get sick. 3) That Erika’s emotional state will stay strong.
We will get through this with God’s help!!!! Please keep up the prayers!!!!!!
By the way, the porch light stays on until she gets home.

Stay strong. You've both made it through the week, and that says a lot. I'll be praying according to your list. I've been keeping you both in my thoughts -- was out walking the dog in the woods today with a friend and told her all about you both. Yes, the conversation started with your present challenges (understatement, I know), but it ended (as they all do when I tell other friends about you both) with joyful descriptions of two truly amazing, gracious people. It sure doesn't take much to win over more prayers for you two! I'm sure it will be awhile before any of us figure out the "why," but in the meantime, I'll just keep praying your lists and sending positive vibes. May Erika find comfort in all of us out here praying for her (you, too!) -- Cathy
Stay strong, Tim! When you think about how much progress you/Erika have made over the past week it is just amazing. The why is always such a difficult answer, but you will find your way to it. We'll be praying for the specifics and extra strength for you to get through this. Sending lots of love. -Kristi
We look for updates everyday so that we know how to pray for you guys. Tim, you have an amazing wife! Through all of this she is alert and so brave! Our prayer today is that Erika will find relief from the pain and continue to improve. Tim, take care of yourself and know that there are many people praying for your continued strength.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
